Licensed Professional Counselor- Serving the Military and their Families!
We are currently seeking a Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) Counselor to work within the Child Development Center affiliated with the Naval Support Activity in Philadelphia. Candidates MUST be licensed at the independent practice level (LCSW, LPC or LMFT).
This position has the primary responsibility of providing the full breadth of CYB counseling services to children of all ages of military service members and their families at military installations.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Counselors will work closely with the installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to ensure the program is provided within scope, and meets the needs of the installation. Counselors will:
* Provide non-medical counseling
* Create and implement training on health and wellness
* Consult with parents and personnel at child day care centers and schools
* Consult on behavioral health issues affecting children and youth
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Minimum of 2 years post-masters supervised clinical experience
* Minimum of a Master's Degree (MA/MS/MBA)
* Licensed at the independent clinical practice level (LPC or LMFT ONLY)
* Must possess advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused child and youth counseling methods
